Welcome to Examon AI (the "Service"), operated by EXAMON PTE. LTD. ("Examon," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in Singapore under the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of our website at examon.ai, our web application, and all related services.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. Creating an account or continuing to use the Service constitutes your electronic acceptance of these Terms, which is legally binding. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that you are using the Service with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and that they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
Examon AI is an exam preparation platform for IB, A-Level, and IGCSE students. The Service includes AI-powered answer marking, an AI tutor, flashcard and MCQ generation, study set creation, revision notes, and related educational tools.
We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We have no obligation to maintain or support any particular version of the Service, and we do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability.
From time to time, we may offer features labelled as "beta," "experimental," or "preview." These features are provided on an as-is basis without any warranty. They may be incomplete, contain errors, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Your use of beta features is at your own risk, and any feedback you provide may be used by Examon without restriction.
To access certain features, you must register for an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not create more than one account, share your account with others, or create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@examon.ai.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information you provide is inaccurate, incomplete, or if you violate these Terms.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Examon grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This license does not include the right to sublicense, resell, or distribute any part of the Service.
If you are a teacher or educator using the Service in connection with your professional educational activities, including purchasing seat-based licenses, creating assignments, and managing students, your license extends to such professional educational use. This does not include the right to resell, white-label, or redistribute the Service or its outputs for independent commercial purposes unrelated to your direct teaching activities.
You retain ownership of any content you upload or submit to the Service, including answers, essays, documents, images, and other materials ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Examon a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, store, reproduce, and display your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.
When uploading User Content, you represent and warrant that:
Examon does not claim ownership of User Content. We do not use identifiable user content or personal information to train AI models.
When you provide links to external websites, our Service may extract and process text and images from those websites to generate educational materials. By providing such links, you represent that you have the right to use the content for educational purposes in accordance with the source website's terms of service. Images extracted from external websites may be re-hosted on our servers to ensure availability. Generated materials include source attribution linking back to the original source. You agree to indemnify Examon from any claims arising from your use of third-party content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights.
Examon AI provides features powered by artificial intelligence, including answer marking, an AI tutor, and content generation. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, and educational materials (excluding User Content), is proprietary to Examon or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any Service content without our prior written consent.
Account access is for individual use only and must not be shared or transferred. Your use of the Service does not confer any ownership rights to platform content.
Examon respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that any content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please submit a written notice to support@examon.ai containing the following:
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will investigate and, if appropriate, remove or disable access to the infringing material. We may also notify the user who posted the content and provide them with an opportunity to submit a counter-notice. Repeat infringers may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
You agree not to, and will not permit others to:
Certain features of the Service require payment. All prices are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change, and we will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases before your next billing cycle.
IF YOU PURCHASE A SUBSCRIPTION, IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AT THE END OF EACH BILLING PERIOD FOR THE SAME DURATION AT THE THEN-CURRENT PRICE, UNLESS YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE RENEWAL DATE. YOUR PAYMENT METHOD WILL BE CHARGED AUTOMATICALLY AT THE START OF EACH RENEWAL PERIOD.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to subscription features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
The Service uses a credit system for certain AI-powered features. Credits are deducted when you use features such as answer marking, AI tutoring, and content generation. Free-tier users receive a monthly credit allowance with weekly usage limits. Unused free credits do not roll over and reset at the start of each monthly cycle. Purchased credits do not expire for as long as your account remains active. Credits are non-transferable between accounts. Purchased credits are non-refundable once used.
All payment transactions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and agree to Stripe's terms.
Refund requests may be submitted within 7 days of purchase by contacting us at support@examon.ai. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and granted at Examon's sole discretion. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods or unused credits. After the 7-day window, all fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by deleting your account or contacting us at support@examon.ai. Examon may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
If we terminate your account without cause (that is, for reasons other than a violation of these Terms), we will refund any prepaid subscription fees for the unused portion of your current billing period and any unused purchased credits. No refund is owed if your account is terminated for a violation of these Terms.
Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately. We will delete your personal data from our active systems within 30 days of termination, except where retention is required by law or necessary for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, resolving disputes, or enforcing our agreements. Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before automatic deletion. Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 of these Terms survive termination.
The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party websites, services, or applications. Examon does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and conditions.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. EXAMON DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. EXAMON DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE. EXAMON DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC LEVEL OF SERVICE UPTIME OR AVAILABILITY. FEATURES LABELLED AS BETA OR EXPERIMENTAL ARE PROVIDED WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EXAMON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA, OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL EXAMON'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO EXAMON IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED SINGAPORE DOLLARS (SGD 100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Examon, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your User Content, (c) your violation of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) under its rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in English and held in Singapore. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in a class action, class-wide arbitration, or any other representative proceeding.
Before initiating arbitration, you agree to first contact us at support@examon.ai to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before the new terms take effect, either by posting a notice on the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the Service.
These Terms are drafted in English. In the event of any conflict between the English version and any translation, the English version shall prevail.
Examon may assign or transfer these Terms, and any rights and obligations under them, in whole or in part, without your prior consent, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, or sale of assets. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
By using the Service, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including emails and notices posted on the Service. You agree that all communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement for written communication.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
The failure of Examon to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Examon shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, power failures, internet disruptions, or acts of third parties.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable teacher licensing agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Examon regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding the Service are non-confidential and non-proprietary. You grant Examon the right to use such feedback without restriction or compensation.
